The passé composé, the imparfait, and the plus-que-parfait — three past tenses, three distinct roles, and endless confusion when it comes to choosing between them. In this session, we bring them all together, clarify the differences once and for all, and introduce the plus-que-parfait as the final piece of the puzzle. We start with a quick recap of the passé composé and the imparfait — when to use each, and the most common mistakes — before moving on to the plus-que-parfait: how it is formed, what it expresses, and how it works alongside the other two tenses to sequence events in the past with precision. By the end of the session, you'll have a clear, complete picture of the French past tense system — and the tools to use it confidently in both speaking and writing. Each session follows the same structure: recap and theory → examples in context → guided exercises → group correction and Q&A. What you'll work on: - passé composé vs imparfait, - formation and use of the plus-que-parfait, - sequencing past events, - narrating stories and anecdotes in French with accuracy. 📌 Booking Policy – Group Conversation Classes 🟩 1. Monthly Memberships (Essential & Premium) You are guaranteed a fixed spot in a weekly group, based on your level. If you are absent, the class is considered lost and cannot be refunded or rescheduled, except in the case of cancellation by the organizer. No makeup classes are offered for personal absences. Public holidays and scheduled seasonal breaks (e.g. Christmas) are already factored into the monthly pricing. 👉 Flexible commitment: your subscription is non-binding and can be cancelled at any time before the next billing cycle. 🟨 2. À la carte options (single classes or packs) You book your own class slots based on calendar availability. Group access depends on available space (priority is given to members with subscriptions). Once booked, a class is non-refundable and non-transferable. Class packs must be used within the validity period (e.g. 3 months for 6 or 10 classes). After that, unused classes are forfeited. 🔴 If a class is cancelled by the organizer In the event a class is cancelled due to low enrollment (fewer than 2 participants), you will be offered: A rescheduled session, or A full refund, at your choice
